AVL.ProjectSurfaceOntoPlane

Projects a surface on another plane, replacing Z coordinate of a point with its distance from a given plane.

Namespace:AvlNet
Assembly:AVL.NET.dll

Syntax

C++
C#

public static void ProjectSurfaceOntoPlane
(
	AvlNet.Surface inSurface,
	AvlNet.Plane3D inPlane,
	bool inUseAbsoluteDistance,
	bool inPreserveOffsetsAndScales,
	AvlNet.Surface outSurface,
	NullableRef<AvlNet.Matrix> outTransform
)

Parameters

Name Type Range Default Description
inSurfaceAvlNet.Surface
inPlaneAvlNet.Plane3D
inUseAbsoluteDistancebool
inPreserveOffsetsAndScalesboolTrueFlag indicating whether to preserve input surface offsets and scales or to adjust them accordingly. Default value: True.
outSurfaceAvlNet.Surface
outTransformAvlNet.NullableRef<AvlNet.Matrix>Matrix of the transform used to compute the output surface; signed distance usage is assumed. Can be null to skip this parameter calculation.
