Barcodes (Pharmacode)

Aim

The task is to detect and recognize a single Pharmacode barcode.

Input

An image containing a Pharmacode barcode. The position of the barcode is variable.

Output

Detected barcode and decoded text.

Solution (AVS)

  1. In Workspace Explorer open workspace Examples and in Film strip window select Barcode_Pharmacode dataset. Drag the Image channel to the ACQUIRE section.
  2. Add the ReadSingleBarcode filter to detect and recognize a barcode.
  3. Set the inBarcodeFormat parameter to Pharmacode.
  4. Show the decoded text on a new preview window.
  5. Add the RecognizeBarcode filter to read the reversed version of the Pharmacode. Connect its inImage with the ReadFilmstrip output and its inBarcodePosition with the ReadSingleBarcode outBarcode.Position.
  6. Set the inBarcodeFormat parameter to PharmacodeInversed.
  7. Set the inScanWidth to 10.
  8. Show the decoded text on the preview window.
